Daniel Cappello: new defender for Faenza Calcio

It will be a very renewed Faenza Calcio that will present itself at the starting line of the regional Eccellenza championship for the 2024/25 season.

Daniel Cappello, 25 years old, a defender of quality, experience, strength and personality, is the first new face of the blue and white team entrusted to Mister Nicola Cavina.
Natural left-handed, Cappello played for Ravenna, Cervia, Corticella, Spiv, Alfonsine, Novafeltria, Classe and Fratta.

“I am very motivated because the objective is to consolidate Faenza in the finally rediscovered superior category – declares Cappello – Coach Nicola Cavina has had the task of forging a team that will have to find the right harmony between young and more experienced players, including the signed. It’s a challenge for me too and I will try to give my contribution with great commitment.”
Nicola Cavina, in the dual role of sporting director and coach, supported Cappello’s choice and declared: “He is a complete player for his role. He has a great personality. Last season, as an opponent, he was among the defenders who impressed me the most. He is still young, despite the many seasons in the category, and for this reason his profile fits perfectly into the company line”.

Born in Bentivoglio (Bo), on 26 January 1999, Daniel Cappello grew up in the youth sector of Ravenna, going through the entire process up to the Juniores and then making his debut in the First Team in Serie D. He then wore the shirts of Cervia and Corticella. Then he played for Spiv and Alfonsine, before a two-year period in promotion at Vis Novafeltria, a team from Rimini, with which he achieved the passage to Excellence. In this category he was still returning to the red and whites of the Class before military, in the season just ended, in Fratta reaching third place in the Promotion group before being defeated by Faenza in the semi-final of the playoffs with a goal from Qazim Gjordumi, his year-long teammate does at the Spiv. In addition to being an active footballer, he has already started training young people in Ravenna.
