Also for the current year, by the deadline of May 31st, the Supervisory Committee of metropolitan city Of Reggio Calabriaresponsible for monitoring the implementation status of the PSC, duly convened, approved, in the first instance, the annual report of the PSC as of 31 December 2023, following the meeting held online on 22 May. Engineer Pietro Foti, Director of Sector 10 “Planning – Territorial Enhancement – Special Laws”, Responsible Authority of the PSC, with the collaboration of the employees and collaborators present, exposed the salient points of the Report regarding the spending trend during the year 2023, to the on-site monitoring and control activities carried out and, a circumstance of particular importance, to the substantial consolidation of the overall financing of the PSC, as all the original interventions have been confirmed and two have passed into the 2017 FSC regional programming /2021.
The current financial allocation of the PSC of the Metropolitan City, therefore, net of the two interventions included in the regional programming, is equal to 134,820,000.00 euros. During the same meeting, during which the excellent collaborative relationship established between the Metropolitan City and the representatives of the institutions that make up the Supervisory Committee emerged several times, the proposal to reprogram the current PSC was examined and approved, through the redistribution of some amounts among the interventions still in progress and the inclusion of new interventions – some of which come from other financial channels – in order to optimize the use of the current financial allocation, also through reuse of the verified savings.
The synergies in the field have once again produced excellent results, fully confirming the positivity of the operating methods based on the principles of cooperation, sharing and inter-institutional discussion for the achievement of a common final objective, aimed at fully satisfying the public interest of the communities locals.
