Some names are already certain: Sergio Gandi (Pd), who should still be deputy mayor, Marcella Messina (Gori list), Francesco Valesini (technical, close to the Gori List), Giacomo Angeloni (Pd) e Marzia Marchesi (Pd), which are reconfirmations. Other names are taken for granted: Ferruccio Rota (Pd) e Oriana Ruzzini (Futura), the news. The mayor evaluates the skills and preferences taken by the candidates in the elections of 8 and 9 June.
But it could also be done «technical» appointments. On these, there is a hypothesis that is as suggestive as it is, at least for now, unfounded: that of Andrea Moltrasio, former president of the Supervisory Board of Ubi, to follow Budget and Trade. More likely that these proxies go to Gandhi. And if the Democratic Party were to stop at four names in the council, the presidency of the chamber should go to Romina Russo. A role that he wouldn’t even mind Francesca Riccardiwho however took a few fewer preferences than Russo and could be content (but it is not a given) with being the group leader of the Democratic Party in the chamber.
It is unlikely that the Dems will be granted five departments, also because the mayor would like a balanced team, with the right representation also towards the center and not leaning too much to the left. If the Democratic Party has aimed high with its requests, the Gori list it was no exception. You will have Marcella Messina in addition, but you would also like another position, in addition to that of Valesini who the Gori List considers technical and does not count among its members (because despite being close to the group he never ran for office). The Gori List wouldn’t even mind the guidance of the classroom (perhaps for Robi Amaddeo), but it is difficult for her to be completely satisfied (she got 10.1%, the Democratic Party 26.5%).
Then there are the more difficult knots. That of Mobility, above all. The reconfirmation of Stefano Zenoni (technical, close to the Gori List) seems unlikely. There is debate among the groups over the name of Filippo Simonettipresident of Theb with the PD card in his pocket. Many like it, but some are not convinced also because it would still be a dem name. Then there is the Culture: also in this case it is not just a question of names, but also of balance. There are “internal” hypotheses: Russo, Gandi or Angeloni (which could also still hold Participation and perhaps Innovation). Or an “external” name, like that of Daniele Rocchettipresident of Acli of Bergamo. Also in this case, the choice will depend on the needs that the new mayor will have to make the team balanced. But time is running out: in the next few hours, decisions will have to be made. Some will be dissatisfied: Elena Carnevali has already said that she wants to try to make the best choices, with attention to skills, but it will be impossible to satisfy everyone’s expectations.
