Almost 18 million euros for the payment of the economic benefit in favor of the very seriously disabled for the month of May 2024. The regional department of family and social policies has in fact committed the sum of 17,809,663 euros, from the regional fund for disability.
“Through the timely monthly disbursement of contributions – says councilor Nuccia Albano – we guarantee continuity of interventions and assistance to these people and their families. Families can thus more peacefully face the extremely problematic situation they experience every day.”
The resources, as always, will be allocated to all the ASPs on the island based on the communication of the number of people suffering from very serious disabilities. The subjects registered in the month of May were over 14 thousand.
From the region 17 million euros for February
Over 17 million euros for the payment of the economic benefit in favor of the very seriously disabled for the month of February 2024. The regional department of Family, social policies and labor has in fact committed the sum of 17,067,140.40 euros, to apply to the “Regional Disability Fund”.
Twenty-two and a half million for January
The Sicilian Region has provided approximately 22.5 million euros for the payment of economic contributions in favor of the very seriously disabled for the month of January 2024. The resources, from the “Regional Disability Fund”, were allocated to all Asp of the Island on the basis of the communication of the number of people who are entitled to the economic benefit. The subjects registered in the month of January were more than 14 thousand, 14,100 to be precise.
In July 2023, over 28 million arrived
Last year the funds arrived only in July and overall they were worth over 28 million euros for the payment of the economic benefit in favor of the very severely disabled for the months of July and August 2023. The regional department of Family, social policies and of work has committed the sum relating to two months’ wages, from the “Regional Disability Fund”.
