Prato, 18 June 2024 – Agreement between CAP and Aci for the birth of an entrepreneurial reality. The two companies have decided to join forces to realize in Prato a new hub dedicated to roadside assistance. For Cap, the city’s historic cooperative, this is a new entrepreneurial frontier undertaken at the dawn of its first 80 years of life.
“The Cap it is always active and looking for new opportunities – explains president Federico Toscano – especially to bring new work to Prato. With Aci we have already undertaken shared paths in the world of roadside assistance in Florence and we are ready to take up the challenge in our city too”. Cap, through its subsidiary OverTech Service, has been working since last year in light and heavy roadside assistance with a headquarters in Impruneta, equipment and training of specialized personnel as well as having signed agreements with Aci and Autostrade which allow it to be authorized to operate on roads such as the A1 from Figline to Calenzano, the Fi-Pi-Li to Empoli and the Autopalio from Florence to Poggibonsi.
“For Prato this is a clear step forward – underlines the president of Aci Prato, Federico Mazzoni -. Until now, the area was without a garage affiliated with the Aci circuit for roadside assistance. Therefore, for the recovery of the vehicles there was a need to rely on companies in the neighboring areas. Now Cap will fill this gap and we will offer an even more widespread service to members.”
The other novelty is the entry of Mazzoni himself into the board of directors of Aci Global Servizi Spa, the national operating company of Aci which manages roadside assistance. “The entry into the board of directors confirms the consideration of Prato as an important province on a national scale for mobility and integrated services – concludes Mazzoni – We have entered through the main door into such an important company, having at our side a very strong partner such as Postal Code“.
The opening of one AciGlobal point in Prato is the culmination of a journey of years: “We have supported a leading company in the sector and proudly anchored to the Prato area – concludes the director of Aci Prato, Claudio Bigiarini -. All this, we are sure, will lead to an increase in services for Aci members and for the citizens of the province of Prato”.
