Sanremo. A few days before the run-off vote, the mayoral candidate of the civic coalition for Sanremo Alessandro Mager returns to the restyling of the old port: «As I have already said on other occasions during the electoral campaign, the restyling of the old port will be a great opportunity for the city, an important development opportunity from a commercial, tourist, urban planning and employment, but the entire process will have to be followed with great attention, both in terms of the operational and management phases”.
«Realistically – continues Mager – I expect that the decision-making Services Conference for the Port can last at least the whole of 2024, adequate time to carry out all the final necessary variations and on this we already have very clear ideas on how to intervene, after numerous discussions with all the entities that operate, live and work in the port. But maximum attention must be paid not only in the remaining planning process leading to the Services Conference or in the work schedule phase, but also subsequently, to protect all commercial, sporting and association entities”.
«For this reason – concludes Mager – I am thinking of a permanent table made up of influential personalities in the sector who, with their experience and competence, can contribute to the creation of the port in the interest of the whole community».
