Sporting Club Carpi is the Under 18 men’s regional team champion. A triumph achieved in the final on Saturday 15 June on the fields of Tc Riccione, swept away 0-2 by Gianmarco De Pietri And Alessandro Venuta, who did not concede even a set to the Romagna hosts Andrea Bacchini and Federico Strocchi. A plot very similar to the entire journey that led the young students of the master and captain Alessandro Bonini on the regional throne: before the final, the Sporting boys had not conceded a single match even in the quarter-finals against CA Faenza and in the semi-final against Ct San Biagio, a team to which the Carpi team conceded the only lost set in the entire event . D2 SERIES
The final of the men’s D2 draw between Sporting and Pro Parma has been postponed to Sunday 23rd.
D3 SERIES
Immediately out of the promotion games was Carpi Sport B, which surrendered 3-0 to the Circolo del Cabriolo Fidenza (knocked out Stefano Malagoli And Lorenzo Marchi – even in the third set – in singles and pairs Berni-Morselli in doubles). Same fate for Club Giardino B, with Arturo Bacchelli (KO in the third), Stefano Dondi And Lugli-Mantovani who surrendered to the Pieve di Cento coach. The long-awaited derby of the first round of the promotion draw between Carpi Sport A and Rinascita Budrione has been postponed to Tuesday 18th (evening appointment on the pitches of Via Marx): the certainty, at this point, is that at least one Carpi player will be in the second round .
