A bitter conclusion, for the relatives of the victims of the tragedy, that of the second trial on the massacre, for the dead of the Lanterna Azzurra nightclub, where on the night between 7 and 8 December 2018 five minors and the mother of 39 lost their lives years.

The sentence this afternoon, at the Ancona court, after five and a half hours of deliberation by judge Francesca Pizii. The former mayor of Corinaldo Matteo Principi, who chaired the public entertainment commission, Massimo Manna, head of Suap, Francesco Gallo of Asur ex vast area 2 of Senigallia, Massimiliano Bruni, the electronics expert, received a one-year sentence and Stefano Martelli of the local police. One year and two months for firefighter Rodolfo Milani, also on the public entertainment commission, who allegedly falsely certified compliance with the requirements of the fire prevention regulations. Francesco Tarsi, the engineer hired by the Magic Srl company that managed the disco, was sentenced to 4 months for ideological falsehood for some certifications on the microclimatic parameters determining the audience capacity.
The process
The acquittal because the fact does not exist also came for multiple manslaughter and negligent disaster for Tarsi, for Quinto Cecchini, partner of Magic Srl and Maurizio Magnani, technician of the Micci family, owner of the property. Cecchini was also acquitted with the same formula for the illegal opening of the nightclub. The company Magic Srl was sentenced to an administrative fine of 90,300 euros. The trial, which began two years ago, with almost 50 hearings, concerned the administrative aspects related to the safety of the venue and the permits issued by the public entertainment commission to the nightclub.
The prosecutors Paolo Gubinelli and Valentina Bavai had requested sentences of a total of 50 years of imprisonment for all nine defendants, the Lanterna Azzurra should not have been left open. The night in which they died in the crowd, due to a mass escape dictated by the spray of a stinging substance by a gang of necklace thieves (six of them had already been convicted in a previous trial and definitively while the appeal is pending for the seventh ), Asia Nasoni, 14 years old, from Mondolfo, Daniele Pongetti, 16 years old, from Senigallia, Bendetta Vitali, 15 years old, from Fano, Mattia Orlandi, 15 years old from Frontone, Emma Fabini, 14 years old, from Senigallia and Eleonora lost their lives Girolimini, 39 years old, also from Senigallia. Ninety days for the reasons for the sentence to be released.
