ROME – New technology in the territory of the ASL Roma 6. The Extraordinary Commissioner of the Health Company Francesco Marchitelli has signed the resolution of purchase of a latest generation CT scan destined for the Paolo Colombo Hospital in Velletri. This was announced by ASL Roma 6 in a press release.
The new CT scan 128 super high resolution layers it allows the study of large sections of the human body, in a very short time, thanks to the acquisition of very thin layers, all in high definition, they explain in the press release. Furthermore, allows you to carry out very detailed specific examinations with a low dosage of X-rays. The high speed of execution appears extremely important for emergency emergency room examinations, especially for time-dependent pathologies, such asaortic aneurysm, pulmonary embolism and the study of the cerebral circulation in case of stroke. The new equipment also allows the study of the heart and coronary arteries, being able in some cases to replace invasive procedures, such as coronary angiography. Finally, of fundamental importance, is theapplication in the pediatric fieldwith specific protocols designed for children.
