The company command of the Carabinieri of Viareggio, yesterday (16 June) notified the owner of the restaurant Argana, in via della Gronda in Viareggiothe decree of temporary closure of 30 days issued by the police commissioner of the province of Lucca.

The provision comes following a series of checks and interventions carried out by the staff of the Viareggio police station and the carabinieri company command, in which they were verified disturbances of public order and safety creating inconvenience even at night for residents. The latest police checks, carried out by the Nas and Nil personnel of the Carabinieri alerted by the numerous reports of noise, fights and degradation, have led to the imposition of sanctions regarding hygiene and the use of illegal workers which led to intervention with the application of immediate suspension of commercial activity.

From the first moments in which the closure measure was notified, the residents expressed a series of thanks for having restored dignity and tranquility to the neighbourhood, allowing you to also travel on foot or by bicycle along Via della Gronda, without risking being involved in fights or attacks.

The two police bodies will continue their prevention activities, intensifying checks on commercial activities, beach establishments and road traffic throughout the summer period, with the aim of instilling in residents and tourists greater security dictated by the constant presence of the police forces.
