The first weekend was spent in Marina di Ravenna testing the new road system with the lane dedicated to public transport, taxis, NCCs, emergency vehicles, motorcycles and mopeds, councilors Costantini and Baroncini draw the balance. Starting from a first important observation: “The first weekend with the new road system in Marina di Ravenna returned a positive picture, with a good smoothness of the fast lane it’s a growth substantial of those who immediately decided to use the parking lots with the free shuttle service”.
“This first test was useful for evaluating the necessary adjustments and, consequently, the use of the shuttle”, add the two councillors, who then announce theactivation of the 18-metre shuttle service during peak return times, anticipating the timing of its inclusion. In fact, thanks to the precious collaboration of the local police, we have detected a notable increase in the use of the parking lot with a consequent increase in that of the free bus. The preferential lane allowed smoother circulation towards the beach establishments and it revealed itself the choice to leave the two exit lanes from Marina di Ravenna, via Trieste and viale delle Nazioni was correctas this is the most delicate moment for the intensification of vehicle circulation towards Ravenna”.
Among the next moves is also the change of direction of the line 60 That “from July 1st it will enter the exchange car park. The current route has already been lengthened to skip the Lama bridge on Via Trieste, closed to heavy vehicle traffic due to the stress suffered during the flood. Therefore, to respect the times along the route and the drivers’ rest at the end of the route, we have already studied a new route which also includes exchanger parking. In the end, having regulated the paid stalls in via Ciro Menotti and viale Zara has allowed a smoothening of the shuttle traffic which was slowed down due to cars parked without any rules. We will continue monitoring to make any changes aimed at ensuring better use of our beaches”, conclude the two municipal councilors.
