The Municipality of Parma is ready to celebrate the European Music Festivalthe successful initiative promoted and supported by the MIC – Italian Ministry of Culture and coordinated throughout the national territory by AIPFM – Italian Association for the promotion of the Music Festival, with a wide and diversified free cultural offer promoted and coordinated by House of Music which will extend the initiatives and celebrations over several days, with a full calendar of events not to be missed.
The review for twelve consecutive days will affect Parma with dozens of concerts and live music performances that are free and open to all, which will have their hub in Piazzale San Francesco but which will also extend to other places in the city center and to the Parco della Musica, thanks to the essential collaboration of many institutions and local musical realities that have rallied around Casa della Musica, enriching the Music Festival program with new and varied proposals ranging from ancient to contemporary music, from solo and chamber concerts to symphonic, jazz and pop concerts, from choirs to the bands.
A further confirmation of the musical vocation of Parma which over the years has been able to distinguish itself as an excellence in this field, managing to obtain international resonance and develop transversal actions that include training, research, production and protection of the musical heritage.
The opening of the Music Festival programme, which promises to be rich and varied, will be entrusted to the creativity and creativity of the young students of the Bertolucci Music High School who will perform in concert on the evening of Monday 17 June at 9.15pm in the splendid Courtyard of Honor of Casa della Musica.
Tuesday 18 Juneat 9.15pm, The Toscanini NEXTdirected by the maestro Roger Catinowill accompany the evening in the setting of Piazzale San Francesco.

The day of Friday 21 JuneEuropean Music Festival, will open with guided tours to the headquarters of Club of 27 for a meeting with the Maestro organized by the members, to then continue with an educational moment dedicated to Verdi’s librettos by the musicologist Alessandro Roccatagliati, created byNational Institute of Verdian Studies. In the afternoon the party continues with a concert of new African music entitled Afrobeat where African percussion will be joined by voices and new electronic beats. The festival ends at 9pm at the Music Park, where Toscanini Foundation with his orchestra he offers the city a menu of symphonies by Mozart and Beethoven to be enjoyed on the lawn to celebrate the arrival of summer.
