The objectives of the service are the protection of public order and safety through the prevention and combating of crimes and conduct connected with the phenomena of social degradation and juvenile deviance. From 8pm to 2am on 16 June, the patrols continuously checked the streets, squares, gardens and meeting places of the urban centre, also carrying out numerous checkpoints at the main road junctions and flying checks on cars with suspicious people on board.
They were 65 people identified, of which 19 are of operational interest because they already have police records against them, and checks were carried out on 32 vehicles. One person was arrested, one was reported and a public place was administratively sanctioned for violating health regulations.
