FOGGIA – Domenico Roma is ready to become the new sporting director of Foggia, even if the official announcement has not yet been made. It seems that the manager is already working behind the scenes, similar to what is happening in Bari with Magalini. Currently, Roma is still linked to Messina until June 30, which is why he cannot officially appear as a Foggia member.
Native of Policoro, 48 years old, Rome is excited to start this new adventure and would have accepted the economic conditions which however were not sufficient for Pasquale Foggia, Canonico’s first target for the role of sporting director. Pasquale Foggia, also courted by Brescia, seems to be about to finalize an agreement with the Lombard club.
Domenico Roma boasts significant experience as a scouting collaborator at Turin, where he took care of the foreign market, as well as at Bari and Cosenza. He worked with Bojano, Vibonese and for three years with Lavello in Serie D. He is passionate about foreign football and pays particular attention to young talents.
Canonico, reinvigorated by the renewed trust of both the municipal administration and the fans, is determined to build a competitive team for the leap into Serie B. The question of the coach will also be resolved shortly, with Canonico announcing the choice between Wednesday and Thursday.
