On Wednesday afternoon at 4pm the associations that are part of the Ugo Pisa Committee will donate some books to the municipal library with a special invitation to read addressed to the mayor Persiani, the councilors and the majority councillors. “We got the idea from the initiative carried out a few days ago by the Besta Committee of Bologna which is fighting for battles on its territory, completely similar to those that we are also supporting – Ugo Pisa said from the committee – Books are wise on land consumption, urban regeneration, green management, climate crisis, building disasters in Italy, lack of political vision…All issues that are important today more than ever and that anyone who manages the common thing should know. We hope that the our representatives listen to our invitation to read. This is the list of books that every citizen will be able to find at the Library from Wednesday:

– The destruction of nature in Italy, Antonio Cederna (Castelvecchi)

– The song of the tree, Coralie Bickford Smith (Salani publisher)

– The earth saved by trees, Francesco Ferrini (Elliot)

– The Great Blindness – Climate change and the unthinkable, Amitav Gosh (Neri Pozza)

– The man who planted trees, Jean Giono (Salani)

– Fitopolis, the living city, Stefano Mancuso (Laterza)

– The intelligence of the soil, Paolo Pileri (Altreconomia)
