Concerts, traveling performances, book presentations, meetings, educational workshops, dances, initiatives for children: 25 events in 12 location for 4 days of appointments. Return to Pistoia Music festival2024 edition dedicated to Musical Bands: We are the first orchestra! Off we go Thursday 20 Juneat 9.30 pm in the Magnolia courtyard of the town hall with the Concert in the Court organized by the Filarmonica Borgognoni.

A rich calendar of events, organized by the cultural activities office of the Municipality of Pistoia in collaboration with many city entities, which continues until Sunday 23 June to celebrate the musical language and the various sounds in an open and inclusive dimension, with the participation of musicians of all levels and of all genres.

«This year the Music Festival presents a particularly special programme rich and diversified, with performances ranging from rock to jazz, from classical music to pop, with an eye on blues, as a preview of the Blues Festival which will begin on Thursday 4 July – highlights the Councilor for Culture Benedetta Menichelli –. The main squares of the city will be animated by free concerts and shows that will begin in the late afternoon and continue until late in the evening. The program will also be enriched dto dance performances, creating a unique experience that combines movement and music. We invite everyone, residents and tourists, to participate in this extraordinary event, a unique opportunity to experience our city in a different way, through music, dance and sharing.»

Friday 21 June, at 5pm in the National Gallery, the students of the Pistoia music schools will give life to the Music festival in the gallery. In the San Giorgio Library, at 5.30pm the meeting organized by Matteo Mori Sanremo, Italyevolution and change in the festival and in society through seventy years of songs.

The loggias and the atrium of the town hall, at 18 (first intervention), at 19 (second intervention), at 8pm (third intervention) will host Tuscany Project, The places that dancetraveling performances between art and culture, directed by Arturo Cannistrà, curated by Asd Danzare Cecchetti Ancec Italia.

At the Il Giardino delle Parole bookshop (via Pagliucola 115), at 6.30pm presentation is scheduled The Ténéré tree by Alessandro Andrei, a book about adventure, fast pace and above all the grunge music of the 90s.

Also Friday 21 June, via Cavour it will be animated at 19 from the DJ Set by Radio Pistoia Web, at 9pm the Pistoia by Night Live Edition with music, guests and games e at 10pm the live performance of L’Orkestraccia with Elio Capecchi & Friends, organized by Universi Associazione Culturale ETS.

In Nelson Mandela square, at the Fornaci, at 8pm is celebrated Summer Solstice Festival, a dance in the square with an orchestra. The event is organized by the Department of Social Inclusion Policies and the associations of the ‘Sociamente’ project. The day of music on June 21st ends at 9.30pm in Piazza dello Spirito Santo with Jingo BilobaAfro Latin rock from Pistoia and the world, with a touch of psychedelia and in Piazza della Sala with Piero Tells a storya show dedicated to the 60s with music and performances.

Saturday 22 June, from 10am to 11pmis scheduled forOpen day of the Luigi Tronci Foundation: an extraordinary opening of concerts, educational workshops and thematic conferences. Furthermore, from 10at the San Giorgio Library, Miniatures, an event designed for children from zero to 10 years old. Always at San Giorgio, at 5.30pm he arrives Dylan: the ghost of electricity, stories, delusions and music edited by Carlo Puddu, Lorenzo Mei and Luca Giovacchini.

In via Cavour from 5pm there will be a performance by the fitness school Movimusicfollowed at 18 from Dance with me, at 20 from the DJ set by Radio Pistoia Web And at 10pm The History of dance. In the Magnolia courtyard, at 18 instead comes a preview of Blues Festivalwith Blues from its origins to today.

Always at 18but at the Mabellini school of music and dance, it will be staged Mabellini Classic Musica performance of classical, romantic and twentieth-century music in concert. From 7pmin Piazza Spirito Santo there is instead the concert ofHigh Voltage Music Band. At 9pmin Piazza del Duomo, arrives Blues Clinics Project, preview of Blues Clinics 2024 summer edition. Meanwhile, the Opportunity Workshop in via dei Macelli 11, from 8.45pm proposes Open Workshopa show of music, theater and dance.

Sunday 23 Junein the parterre of Piazza San Francesco at 11 it starts with theMusical aperitif of Borgo Band. From 4.30pm the jam session arrives Music in freedom And at 9.30pm there Music with the spontaneous group of the Filarmonica Borgognoni.

From 6pmin the headquarters of Villa Puccini in Scornio, Mabellini Modern Music, a show of pop-rock, jazz and ethnic music. In Piazza dello Spirito Santo, from 9.30pmthere is instead Conversa Brasileirawith Silvia Benesperi and Stefania Scarinzi on vocals, Piero Frassi on piano and Andrea Benninati on drums. At 9.30pmin Piazza della Sala the concerts end with Step Onethe new Italian pop funk, written at night.

Furthermore, from June 21st to 23rdat the San Giorgio Library the Tour of Italy in Musican itinerary through the cities of Italian singer-songwriters.
