Alessandria will register in Serie D. After a troubled (to put it mildly) season in Serie C which led to the inevitable relegation, the first days of the Grigi’s summer seemed rather “grey” and rumors of a possible failure continued for weeks until they became almost a certainty.
Almost, precisely, because it is the property itself that provides clarity. Contacted by telephone, from Alessandria we are told: “We are not bankrupt. Indeed, on Wednesday at 3.30 pm we will hold a conference in which we will present the new investors and the entire sports project: the new general director will be present and we are already working to structure a high-level team“.
Having averted the risk of bankruptcy, two further clarifications: “The City of Alessandria is a totally unrelated reality, and which will compete in Excellence. The Grays are just us: unfortunately there were problems related to the old management, but we worked hard to resolve them, even reaching a debt restructuring thanks to a ten-year plan. We have returned to a zero point from which to start again and we intend to do it in the best possible way. Penalty points? They will be there, there’s no point in hiding it. We will start with a heavy -8, a legacy of last season, which will be a further incentive to do well. On Wednesday, however, we will release all the details“.
