Dinamo Ladispoli wins the Galleri Trophy in Rimini –

An extraordinary end to the season for the Amateur group of Pallacanestro Dinamo Ladispoli led by coach Davide Acconciamessa. Only a week ago they had triumphed as regional champions of Lazio, and now, as part of the National Amateur Championship organized by UISP, one of the main sports promotion bodies in Italy, they have won the Galleri Trophy.

In Rimini, from 13 to 16 June, four days of intense competition took place, which saw the participation of 18 Senior teams. The Ladispola players faced this real tour de force with the right determination and spirit, showing great skill on the basketball courts of the capital of the Romagna Riviera, between spritzes, sun, sea and music.

After defeating first the Venetians of the Rebels of Vicenza, then the Lombards of Team Out Basket of Tavazzano (Lodi) and finally the Ligurians of Basket Canaletto of La Spezia, the Dinamos were the protagonists of the awards ceremony in the evocative setting of the Opera Beach Club of Riccione, taking home a prestigious national trophy. President Luigi Fois and sporting director Andrea Ciprigno, who followed the team in Romagna, are enthusiastic: “The boys were exemplary, they had fun both on and off the pitch, but they never lost their seriousness and commitment which has distinguished them throughout this very long sporting season. I am extremely satisfied, and the Galleri Trophy is an important recognition of the work and organization they have always demonstrated, at the highest levels of the category” declared the president.

“This victory represents the icing on the cake of an exciting season, in which all our youth teams and the first Serie D team reached the quarter or semi-finals of the federal championships and cups. Prestigious goals, but in the end what counts are the trophies and titles, and this year too we can add two new ones: one for the regional title a week ago and the other for the national cup we just won” commented the sports director Andrea Ciprigno.

These are the words of the new Captain Stefano Ciprigno, who greatly replaced the legendary Gino Bucci in the role who was unable to follow the team on the long trip to Rimini: “We had a lot of fun and we also brought home an important result. This group truly has quality, cohesion and profound values of friendship which on the pitch are transformed into an added value that is truly difficult for any opponent to face. We have demonstrated that we have a winning DNA now and our results over the years in the field speak for themselves. Now a bit of well-deserved rest and everyone is ready to start again in style.”

Dinamo therefore continues its growth phase; the facts and numbers speak clearly, and despite the uncertainties about the spaces that will be assigned by the Municipality from next September due to the usual bureaucratic and procedural delays, which at the end of June still prevent the orange/blue management from seriously planning the activities of the next sports season now upon us, one thing is certain: Dinamo has taken a further significant step forward to further expand its already vast base of fans and supporters, young and old.
