This morning in the Sicilia Gallery of the Palazzo dei Carmelitani, seat of the Municipality, the Mayor of Mazara del Vallo Salvatore Quinci officially took office for his second consecutive mandate.
The General Secretary Salvatore Pignatello, at the opening of the ceremony, in expressing his best wishes to the Mayor, read out the installation minutes, explaining that in fact the second consecutive administrative mandate of Mayor Quinci has already begun last week with the notification occurred on 13 June of the official act of proclamation issued the previous day by the Central Electoral Office with which, following the vote on 8 and 9 June, Salvatore Quinci was proclaimed Mayor-elect having obtained 12,542 votes, equal to 46.68% of valid votes.
Immediately after signing the inauguration minutes, Mayor Salvatore Quinci re-wore the tricolor sash, expressing “heartfelt thanks for the trust and appreciation shown with the vote expressed by almost one voter out of two” and announcing “that the The municipal administration will continue in this second mandate and in the interest of the entire community the already positive work carried out in the first five years with the implementation of the political-administrative program”.
With a touch of emotion, Mayor Quinci also expressed thanks to his family for their support and patience and to all the supporters of the project rewarded by the voters. Particular thanks were also expressed by the mayor to the municipal structure “which has contributed in recent years to the achievement of important results for the community”.

Mayor Salvatore Quinci announced that the appointment of the new municipal council and the assignment of councilor delegations will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday 18 June at 9.30 am during the installation and swearing-in ceremony of the new councilors at Palazzo di Città .
