The course developed into three sections, moderated by the president of the Scientific Committee of the Alessandra Bisceglia Foundation, Cosmoferruccio De Stefano and by the health director of the ASP, Luigi D’Angola.

Professor De Stefano stated:

“Vascular anomalies, which seriously affect the vascular system, are unfortunately very often not recognized in time.

The real problem is that when this happens and when the problem is recognized in some way, the patient doesn’t know where to go.

Hence the famous journeys of hope and the many difficulties.

Our goal is to clarify and explain to patients that there are locations in the national healthcare system where it is possible to receive treatment without incurring unsustainable expenses.”

Director D’Angola highlighted:

“Today’s conference touches on an extremely sensitive topic which is that of vascular anomalies and malformations. A topic that also closely concerns local healthcare companies.

In fact, beyond taking care of the patient in hospital for treatment, it is necessary to consider the post-intervention rehabilitation and psychosocial reintegration paths, also due to the aesthetic consequences of the pathology”.
