The Porto Corsini passenger port in Ravenna is in full swing and the signing of the contract between the Ravenna Civitas Cruise Port and the Ar.Co company is expected soon. Lavori, which won the tender for the construction of the new maritime station. The project will be financed with 40 million euros for the private part and 6 million for the public part. This is what we read in “Il Resto del Carlino”. The work will be completed and operational for the 2026 season, with work scheduled to begin in July. In addition, the tender and awarding of the works is expected by the end of the year, with construction starting at the beginning of 2025 for the Dune Park. The cost of this intervention is 8 million euros, of which 1.5 million financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region. The current season is recording reassuring numbers, with 7,000 visitors in three days and three ships disembarked, also experiencing positive feedback from cruise ship companies. The forecast is 260,000 travelers in 2024, which are reduced numbers compared to 2023 to allow for work on the maritime station. Most of the passengers who disembark in Ravenna are Americans, but there are also many Europeans and South Americans. The service has been implemented with stewards at embarkation and disembarkation who indicate to passengers how to reach the shuttles dedicated to them. Ravenna Incoming, the consortium that has been operating in the Ravenna area since 2002 in the field of tourist promotion and reception, has also signed agreements with hotels and B&Bs, organizing some stops in their vicinity for tourists who are then transferred directly to the terminal.
