The officials confirmed the precautionary custody in prison for the anarchist of Spanish origins.

On 18 December 2015 the man, originally from Girona, linked to the anarcho-insurrectionist movements, had placed a rudimentary explosive device in front of the Police Academy in via Lodovico Pavoni.
The bomb was produced using hydrocarbons and gunpowder contained in a pressure cooker.
The explosion, which caused no casualties, was claimed with a document signed by a self-proclaimed “Cellula Anarchica Acca” group.
The document had been traced back to the anarchist area which since 2014 had carried out a series of attacks in Italy and abroad also out of solidarity with other prisoners belonging to the anarchist area; furthermore, due to lexicon and semantics the claim was linked by the investigators directly to the Iberian anarchist.

The new technologies in the possession of the Scientific Police have then allowed further investigations on the material seized at the time, making it possible to find, on a backpack used to contain the homemade bomb, a genetic profile certainly compatible with that of humans.
