Massimo Zedda: the proclamation today at 2:00 pm
Today is the big day of proclamation the new mayor of Cagliari by Massimo Zedda, scheduled for 2 p.m. A few days late, as explained by the journalist de The Sardinian Union Mauro Madeddu to the microphones of Radiolina. In fact, the transition usually takes place a few days after the results of the polls. The delay is due to some difficulties encountered in the minutes delivered by the presidents of the sections: “Nothing special”, explained the journalist from L’Unione Sarda.
Contextually the president of the Municipality of Pirri, Maria Laura Manca, will also be proclaimed. The electoral office will also have to announce the elected councilors, but we will have to wait a few more days: “There are councilors who are playing the election for a few votes and recounts will have to be done”explains Mauro Madeddu.
Massimo Zedda: from the proclamation to the new council
During the first meeting with the majority forces, Zedda explained that there is the urgency of restarting the city, this could lead the new mayor to present the council quickly. This week the criteria for the formation of the Council will be discussed and bilateral meetings with the individual parties will begin shortly. Massimo Zedda obtained a greater consensus at the polls than his lists and for this reason he will have a very strong negotiating force, while respecting the weight of each individual political force.
Emergencies
All eyes on the summer season. The new mayor has highlighted in recent days the lack of shows, with the need to carry out programming. This is one of the priorities for the city to try to guarantee a minimum amount of programming for the summer, which has now begun. Another fundamental theme is that of traffic: “It is likely that the mayor could decide to place a personally chosen man or woman,” says Mauro Madeddu. The waste contract expires in September 2024, another of the issues dear to the citizens of Cagliari.
