Public transport on the Dolomite passes, the Trento-Bolzano agreement renewed – News

TRENT. The collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano regarding public transport on the Dolomite passes is renewed again this summer. With a measure proposed by the councilor Mattia Gottardi, the provincial government approved a draft agreement with the autonomous province of Bolzano for the strengthening for the summer period, from 16 June to 20 September 2024of the scheduled public transport service providing the connection (through Line 471) from Passo Sella to Canazei and vice versa; service managed by a company on behalf of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.

The agreement approved today also provides for tariff integration for owners of Guest Card on line 471″Pordoi/Canazei Pass – Sella Pass – Val Gardena“. “It is a useful service – underlines councilor Gottardi – which contributes to reducing traffic and therefore also pollution in one of the most beautiful and delicate natural environments. This collaboration strengthens the public transport service with a connection between the Provinces of Trento and Bolzano. Tourists and residents can choose a different means of transport from the private one, to the advantage of sustainability and environmental quality, in a period of the year characterized by a notable number of presences”.

With the agreement, the connection between Passo Sella and Canazei will therefore be strengthened 9 racing pairs, a service carried out by the company that manages public transport on that line (471) for the autonomous province of Bolzano. The cost borne by the Autonomous Province of Trento for the extension to Canazei is 63,915.20 euros, VAT excluded. Tourists in possession of the Trentino Guest card will be able to travel, again from 16 June to 20 September, on the Canazei – Passo Sella and Passo Pordoi – Passo Sella routes (Line 471): in this case the expected cost of 5,388.13 euros, VAT included , will be paid by Trentino Sviluppo.
