One with a winning spirit enters the race, with so much determination and character that leaves the guests amazed before their final escape. Race One. It starts on Mount Dall’Olio against the undefeated Fabiani. He holds well and slows down the guests, for four rounds 1 point immediately and 76 throws: he pushes Comcor to the partial 2 to 1, against the guests who however react strongly: it goes to 4 to 2 at the end of the sixth round, with Campanella on the mound . They try to shorten against Bertolini on the guests’ mountain, but Modena suffers the Colleccho turning point: with 3 more hits for 4 points scored, in the eighth they change the match and the locals score another point. Beautiful match with the yellow and blue great protagonists until the 6th second half, against the guests who however remained cold and implacable, making the most of every slightest decline. Above all, Guevara 3 out of 5, Tamburini, Bianchi 2 out of 4. Final 3 to 8.

Race Two. Great suffering with many new lineups, surprise change in the pitcher rotation: evergreen Ventura starts, holds the pitching mound well with 4 recoveries, 4 hits, 86 pitches, then goes down exhausted. Then unfortunately night falls on the yellow and blue: with Hurtado on the mound the defense goes haywire, loaded with 6 errors, too many between inside and outside, and the guests go on the run at 5-3 in the seventh round. It’s a shame, because before the suicidal errors, Pisano’s boys were in the game. Modena does everything alone, the cold and ruthless guests receive as an unexpected gift, the second victory which is worth the play offs. Final still 3 to 8.
