The general secretary of the Cisal confederation, Francesco Cavallaro, has conferred the role of regent of the Cisal Catania Provincial Union on Giovanni Lo Schiavo. The position has been rumored in Catania trade union circles for a few weeks, while the appointment provision was signed by the confederal secretary on Friday 14 June, with immediate effect.
Lo Schiavo, a veteran of the union, has specifically gained his long experience in the sector of Local Public Transport, currently, he is Deputy Regional Secretary of the Faisa Cisal Sicily Federation. I thank the entire confederal secretariat headed by the general secretary Cavallaro for the trust placed in me in giving me the prestigious role.
I also thank all the provincial category secretaries for having indicated me and above all for the esteem and consideration given to me during the preparatory steps for the appointment. I am aware of the responsibility and complexity that the role imposes, with respect to the multiple problems that afflict the city of Catania and its provincial area, as well as the burden of bringing the Cisal of Catania to the congress, within the terms and in the manner established by the confederal statute.
