A 27 year old boy yesterday afternoon in the province of Cagliari it would have killed his mother with a stab wound at the height of a domestic dispute. A single stab wound, in the back, would have been fatal for Maria Dolores Cannas, aged 57, who died around 4pm yesterday. She was killed by her own son, for reasons yet to be clarified. Yet another death of a woman, carried out by a man. This time it would not have been a husband, a lover or a partner, but a son who, in the grip of fury, would not have hesitated to kill his own mother.
It would appear that the 27-year-oldafter having struck the fatal blow, fled, leaving his mother’s house. The emergency services intervened immediately and, once they arrived at the scene of the crime, they attempted to resuscitate the woman, unfortunately without success. It would seem that it was the victim’s husband who called for help, and father of the 27-year-old, who was in the next room at the time of the murder. In addition to calling 118, the man also attempted to resuscitate his wife, as reported by Sardinian Union.
Cagliari, the 27-year-old found in a state of shock
Following the discovery of the woman’s body, the search for her son immediately began. The young man he would have fled but would have soon been identified by the police. He was standing on a street not far from his mother’s house, in a clear state of shock. The young man was placed in custody and will have to be heard by the investigators.
According to what investigators have gathered so far, it appears that the young man stabbed his mother during a quarrel. The topics that may have led mother and son to discuss are not clear, what is certain is that the woman unfortunately lost her life. It would appear that the stab wound to her back punctured her lung, leading to her death due to internal bleeding. An autopsy has been ordered on the 57-year-old’s body which will have to clarify the reasons for her death.
The soldiers of the Quartu Army and the 118 doctors arrived on site, while the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile unit concentrated on the search for the 27-year-old, who disappeared when help arrived.
