On Tuesday 17 June, the Cosenza Chamber of Commerce will present the new Statute and Regulations of “Costantino Mortati” Arbitration Chamber. The event will be an opportunity to delve deeper into topics relating to alternative dispute resolution tools, with the participation of authoritative speakers.
The meeting, open to businesses, professionals and public employees, is intended as a moment of discussion on the critical issues of the traditional judicial system and on the opportunities offered by alternative justice tools, such as arbitration and mediation.
Resorting to alternative justice tools such as arbitration and mediation entails significant advantages in terms of time and costs compared to ordinary justice. In fact, while an ordinary judgment can take up to ten years to reach a final ruling, arbitration and mediation procedures are generally quicker and more efficient, with a significant saving of resources for the parties involved.
The Cosenza Chamber of Commerce, which has always been committed to the promotion and dissemination of alternative justice tools, has established within itself a unique body in Calabria and among the very few in Southern Italy. At the Arbitration Chamber it is possible to initiate regulated arbitration procedures, with the guarantee of professionalism and competence on the part of qualified arbitrators. Furthermore, arbitration awards have legal value and are comparable to first instance sentences.
