Gianclaudio Castellani new president. New member Dr. Patrick Tayoun has been pinned
Legnano – The president’s year ends Carlo Massironi, begins that of Gianclaudio Castellani.
For the Lions Club Legnano Rescaldina Sempione what took place at midday on Sunday 16 June at the La Tana d’Orso restaurant was a special lunch, to the point on the year of a club that the president and Past Governor of District 108 Ib1 Massironi defined as “expanding” and on the inheritance that will now have to be collected by incoming president Castellani, not new to the role as he had already assumed the position in the 2021-2022 Lions year.
At lunch, which was also the occasion for tap the new Partner Dr. Patrick Tayoun, already speaker during the meeting of last May 10th, on an important topical topic such as that of Community Houses, read here, And to deliver to Member Marco Crespi the lionistic merit for the growth of the association, were also present District Officers Eleonora Bassani Cardani, Elena Casero, Cristina Boracchi and Jessica Urbani.
“The Legnano Rescaldina Sempione Lions Club is in its tenth year of activity and is an expanding club – stated President Massironi, commenting on the successful opening of new Lions Clubs. “My sixth non-consecutive year as president will end on July 1st– continues Massironi, indicating that this year has also been a year of “restructuring” for the Club: “the addition of Legnano in the name is an important step, we are moving from an area of 15 thousand inhabitants to a territory of almost 80 thousand and this is certainly an advantage, to carry out ever greater initiatives“. And it is precisely on the Club’s initiatives that the president wants to focus, citing the most significant ones such as the donation of a guide dog to a blind girl from Abruzzo and the participation in the awarding of two Legnanese Family Scholarships during Student Day. At the end of the lunch, the word passed to the new president Gianclaudio Castellani: “I accept with pleasure the task that the Council has decided to entrust to me“. Then agreeing with Legnano’s addition he says: “Having added the name Legnano is a way to bring us closer to the other historic clubs in the city. Next October there will be an important intermeeting, in the presence of six Lions Clubs and a Rotary Club, an evening still being defined, but which will see the presentation, at the Contrada Sant’Erasmo manor, of a photographic book on the Amerigo Vespucci, the donations collected will be donated to the purchase of a dog for the blind.”
