What happened
According to the reconstruction of the carabinieri, the unfortunate man – of Trani origins – had left home at 04:00 to meet his friends, one aged 24 and the other 30 years old, who were waiting for him to punish him for a wrong, which would have occurred in the context of the management of affairs related to drug dealing.
After hitting him repeatedly with a stick and wounding him with a knife, the two attackers fled in a car, abandoning the victim who was lying on the ground and bleeding. Despite his injuries, however, the young man managed to contact the emergency services who urgently transported him to the local emergency room.
After listening to the victim, his family and some witnesses, the police managed to trace the identity of the two “friends” and arrest them.
The two attackers are charged with attempted murder – in complicity – and possession of weapons or objects capable of offending.
