Group F of the D series is fierce and with many Marche teams

With the necessary premise that nothing can be taken for granted, even more so the registration of Ancona in the D series in this delicate phase, it is interesting to take a look at the possible and future composition of group F of the interregional series, the one which includes the Marches. With Campobasso’s promotion to Serie C, and the relegation to Eccellenza of Matese, Vastogirardi, Fano and Tivoli, what remains of last year’s group F is made up of the Marche teams Fossombrone, Vigor Senigallia, Sambenedettese and Atletico Ascoli, and the Abruzzo teams L’ Aquila, Avezzano, Chieti and Notaresco, from Molise Termoli, from Lazio Roma City, Sora and Real Monterotondo and from Romagna United Riccione.

To these thirteen should be added, if the same geographical criterion is used, the relegated Fermana and Recanatese, and the newly promoted excellent ones which are Civitanovese, Città di Teramo and Città di Isernia San Leucio, plus Castelfidardo if it emerges victorious from the challenge of last night (see report). But then there are also Rieti and Terracina in Lazio which however should end up in group G, plus Ancona who could register as a supernumerary. The group has eighteen teams, the recomposition could leave some of them out but, excluding the last two Lazio teams, the next group F could be just as described, and therefore with eight or nine teams from the Marche region which, in addition to Ancona, would be Fossombrone, Vigor Senigallia, Recanatese, Civitanovese, Fermana, Sambenedettese and Atletico Ascoli and, if necessary, Castelfidardo. Then the Abruzzo ones, which would be five, namely the City of Teramo, Notaresco, L’Aquila, Avezzano and Chieti. The same three Lazio teams remaining from last year, namely Roma City, Sora and Real Monterotondo, and then the Molise teams Termoli and Città di Isernia, and the Romagna team United Riccione. With Castelfidardo, obviously, one should slip into some other group.

This, of course, if the same principle used last year is maintained. At the moment, however, for Ancona there would be a Serie D full of historic derbies. Isernia would be the longest trip, over 300 km, followed by the two trips to Rome, a few dozen km less, Termoli and the Abruzzo destinations being easier. The closest regional derbies would obviously be the one with Vigor Senigallia and those with Castelfidardo and Recanatese, the others certainly heard. It would be a highly emotional and very competitive group. The one in which Ancona – whatever the club, current or to be created from scratch, with which it will have to be registered – could lay the first brick to rebuild its present and its future from scratch. With all the “ifs” of the case.
