Catia Degli Esposti supports Paola Lungarotti in the run-off on 23 and 24 June 2024 against Erigo Pecci

After the first electoral round of 8 and 9 June, which saw Catia Degli Esposti excluded from the competition, comes a significant turning point for the run-off on 23 and 24 June 2024 in Bastia Umbra. Degli Esposti, a candidate supported by centre-right civic lists, has decided to support the current outgoing mayor Paola Lungarotti. The latter is preparing to challenge the centre-left candidate, Erigo Pecci, in the decisive run-off. Alessandro Moio, provincial manager of the Brothers of Italy, communicates this.

A week after the elections, degli Esposti and Lungarotti they held various meetings with the centre-right leaders. These discussions led to the sharing of ideas and programs, establishing an agreement that consolidated the alliance between the two candidates. The convergence on common programmatic points allowed Degli Esposti to decide to support Lungarotti in the next electoral challenge, joining forces to counter the centre-left candidate Pecci.

The union between Degli Esposti and Lungarotti is destined to significantly influence the electorate of Bastia Umbra. Center-right voters will see their position strengthened with a common front, which aims to keep the leadership of the city in the hands of the current administration. Lungarotti, with the support of Degli Esposti, will be able to count on a broader and more compact electoral base, ready to support the policies and projects already started and future ones.
