Campobasso dominates the Serie D championship final and wins the 2023/24 title. The final match played at the Zecchini stadium in Grosseto against Trapani, with both teams already promoted to Serie C, was an absolute triumph for the Molise players, who prevailed with a clear result of 5-1. The rossoblù immediately broke the deadlock after 8′ with a splendid flying turn by Romero. Only three minutes pass and the former Lucchese center forward repeats himself with a winning shot that makes it 2-0. Sicilians not arriving at the start of the match, while Campobasso spreads: in the 17th minute Rasi finds the trio with a precise left-footed diagonal shot after a quick restart, then in the 23rd minute Di Nardo he seals the poker with a deflected outside shot. Halfway through the first half, therefore, the match was already over for the Molise team. Trapani tries to reopen the contest in the 31st minute, with former Frosinone player Oliver Kragl which he scores from the spot and makes it 4-1. At the end of the half, however, Rasi came very close to making it 5-1, hitting the post.
