Di Trapani(Fnsi) ‘resist, defend the Republic and the Constitution’

TRIESTE, 16 JUN – The Leali delle Notizie Festival has become “a great opportunity for discussion” and it is “important to continue to believe in investigative journalism. At this moment it is more necessary than ever to resist, defending the values ​​that have animated our Republic and our Constitution”. The president of the Fnsi, Vittorio Di Trapani, said this this evening as he presented the journalist Sigfrido Ranucci with the prize in memory of Daphne Caruana Galizia, offered by the Leali delle Notizie Journalism Festival in Ronchi dei Legionari. The event in the province of Gorizia was followed by around ten thousand people this year in its rich calendar of events, masterclasses and shows, spread over six days and 140 meetings and with 280 guests. The prize has the high patronage of the European Parliament. A setback has stranded Matthew Caruana Galizia, son of the Maltese journalist and director of the Foundation dedicated to her, in Malta. “I share this recognition with the editorial staff of Report, because it is thanks to the work of the entire team that we can pursue our mission, which is that of public service,” commented Ranucci. “This was the most beautiful edition so far”, commented Luca Perrino, president of Leali delle Notizie.
