In Milan, Piacenza Baseball thrives in game 1 (15-2), but loses its way in game 2, losing 17-8.
RACE 1 – The morning match was literally one-sided. Piacenza remains empty only in the first attack, after which in the following four they add 11 hits which bring 15 points. Ares then hit and sunk, capable of only two runs scored in the only two at-bats in which he hit extra base. Sporadic episodes of a match never in question, at the end of which we find Loardi, finally back starting, as the winning pitcher. Exciting notes also from the attack (13 hits), where everyone found glory and in particular Hernandez and Loardi, creators of two doubles, as well as Marelli with three singles.

RACE 2 – In baseball the balance can be upset in no time and in this case in Milan everything changes right in the break between the two games. The roles are reversed and now the home team starts with a 12-3 score after three innings of ten valid at-bats. Piacenza clearly suffered the blow, tried to react (at the end of the match the scoreboard would show eleven hits, not a few but unfortunately useless) and chased a comeback that was only at times credible. Honestly, there isn’t a transcendental opponent in front of him, but the heavy gap accumulated still makes the undertaking difficult. D’Auria, trying to somehow put in difficulty an Ares line-up that appeared resurrected compared to the morning, opts for the rotation of pitchers which on other occasions had been useful but which this time unfortunately doesn’t pay off. By fighting we get to 13-8, but then another four Milan points in the 8th bring the curtain down on a match that started badly and was never straightened out by Piacenza who did not go home empty-handed but certainly could have aspired to much more more.
