Bologna transfer market – From Poland, Krzyzanowski following in Urbanski’s footsteps?

The year was 2020, it was December 30th and the news bounced from Poland that the young Kacper Urbanski was ready to move to Bologna. Three and a half years later the former Legia Gdansk player started for Poland at Euro2024 and has effectively completed his maturation process. Now there is a new Pole, a very young one who could retrace his footsteps in Bologna and could arrive in this transfer market and it is the 18 year old Jakub Krzyzanowski of Wisla Krakow.

Offer already submitted?

According to what was reported in the Polish newspaper meczyki.pl by journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk, the rossoblù have already made an offer for the player. Bologna, in the person of its sporting director Marco Di Vaio, would have submitted an offer to Wisla Cracovia, owner of the young Pole’s card, to bring Krzyzanowski already in this transfer market in Italy.

An operation that succeeded very well in January 2021 with Kacper Urbanski, then not yet 18 years old, “weaned” from Bologna and then brought to the rossoblù youth team.

Bologna, as reported by Meczykihad already submitted an offer last year for the 2006 class. However, the red and blues like Club Brugge had been rejected. The defender then had a contract expiring on 30 June 2024, and had decided to renew until 30 June 2025. Today, the possibility of leaving the “White Stars” is increasingly concrete and alive, after this season he found excellent continuity in the Wisla first team.

Internal competition

If this time there doesn’t seem to be competition from any foreign club, there seems to be another Polish team on the defender. Legia Gdansk, having just returned to the Ekstraklasa, would have attempted the big coup without too many successes. In fact, Krzyzanowski, after deciding to renew a year ago, seems inclined this time to follow in Urbanski’s footsteps and move to Bologna in this transfer market.

We will soon know the truth, also because the summer transfer window will officially open in two weeks.
