Monday, June 17th at 4pmthe official inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the Rende Fire Department, located in Via Parigi, will take place.
The event will see the participation of high institutional officials, including:

- Engineer Carlo Dall’OppioChief of the National Fire Brigade;

- Dr. Giampiero RizzoCommander of the Cosenza Fire Brigade;
- Dr. Santi GiuffrèExtraordinary Commissioner of the Municipality of Rende.
He will also speak at the ribbon cutting ceremony Monsignor Giovanni ChecchinatoMetropolitan Archbishop of the diocese of Cosenza-Bisignano.
During the event, a photo-documentary exhibition entitled will be set up inside the venue “The Fire Brigade of the Province of Cosenza: yesterday, today and tomorrow”.
The new headquarters, already operational since last October, represents a flagship for the National Fire Brigade. Built in compliance with the most recent operational standards, the structure was created from the demolition and reconstruction of the old building, making it larger and more functional today.
The new barracks is able to accommodate a greater number of emergency vehicles, has a dormitory, an operations center, offices and a social room. Furthermore, its strategic location makes it a fundamental point of reference for the entire urban area and beyond, guaranteeing a timely and efficient response to the emergency needs of the area.
