The man, undocumented and with mobility difficultiesit has been found in a clear state of confusion at the Marco Polo airport in Venice, while wandering near the access gates to the airport security checks, queuing up with departing passengers.

Once seen, the Border Police men accompanied him to their offices to make him feel comfortable, etctry to obtain some information useful for identification.

The last sighting was at Portogruaro station

Through a photographic comparison, carried out through police databases, and the acquisition of fingerprints, it was possible to trace the identity of the elderly gentlemana Romanian citizen, who had been reported as a missing person by the Prefecture of Rovigo.

The complaint was presented by the family, with the news of thelast sighting near the Portogruaro railway station, last June 10th. Then, about him the traces were lost and for this reason the provincial search plan for missing persons was activated, with the involvement of the Prefecture of Venice.

Once the identification was completed and the elderly man’s identity was certain, the police called the family who, relieved, arrived at the airport to take him home.
