Great crowd last night at the Franco Scoglio Stadium in Messina to attend the concert that kicked off the “Geolier Live 2024” tour. The protagonist is Emanuele Palumbo, aka Geolier, one of the undisputed champions of Italian rap, known for his song “I p’ me, tu p’ te”, which took him to second place at the Sanremo Festival and which has already obtained the platinum record certified by FIMI/GfK Italia.
The event, part of the “E-State a Messina” program organized by the Municipality, represented a sort of dress rehearsal in view of the three already sold out concerts that Geolier will hold from 21 to 23 June at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples. The stadium was packed with fans, with enthusiastic participation adding to the electrifying atmosphere.
Geolier took to the stage greeted by a deafening roar from the audience, inaugurating the evening with “Forever”, the opening track of his latest album “Dio lo sa”, released on 7 June for Warner Music Italy. The album, which features collaborations with artists of the caliber of Lazza, Sfera Ebbasta and Ultimo, immediately captured the attention of fans, further consolidating his position in the Italian music scene.
The concert highlighted Geolier’s eclecticism, capable of ranging between street and love stories, mixing rawness and intimacy, social denunciation and autobiographical feelings. His music, highly appreciated by the very young, reflects the feelings and internal conflicts of a generation, making him an authentic interpreter of their moods.
During the evening, Geolier performed a setlist that included his most famous songs, alternating moments of great energy with more intimate and reflective passages. The audience sang and danced non-stop, creating a palpable bond with the artist, who responded with a performance full of emotion and intensity.
The opening of the tour in Messina marked an extraordinary success, predicting a triumphal path for the next stages of “Geolier Live 2024”. The next appointment with Geolier is scheduled for Naples, where the artist will bring his already sold out show to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
