Returning to the crackling final fraction: “From the start the stage was very eventful. With 40, 50 kilometers to go, a very strong group had managed to escape and I was a bit worried. But we never panicked and were able to control the race. I am very grateful for the help of my teammates, not only today, but throughout the week. In the end I concentrated only on Bilbao and everything went well.”
