Bad weather, spectacular cyclonic curl between Sardinia and Sicily

Nothing to do: summer doesn’t take off. Indeed, it remains a mirage. We are at June 16th, it’s Sunday and in the South it’s a day of bad weather. There are no heavy rains or storms, but the sky is overcast in many places Sardinia, Sicily, Calabria, Campania, Basilicata And Puglia. Yesterday the sky had already been overcast for most of the day, compromising the possibility of benefiting from the sun on the beach.

The temperatures remain cool, pleasant, lower than the averages of the period: from Palermo and Trapani to Messina and Reggio Calabria, we have +25°C in broad daylight and highs that stopped at +27°C, as if we were still in mid-May. And in the evening it cools down considerably. Some rain is affecting western Sicily, with 1mm in Castelvetrano and Campobello di Mazara, intensifying in the late afternoon.

The satellite image that highlights a cyclonic curl taking place between Sardinia and Sicily is spectacular:

The bad weather will continue in the next few hours, albeit without significant rainfall like that which hit the North in a particularly extreme way until yesterday evening.
