SAN SEVERINO MARCHE – More than 330 road signs renewed or placed where there were none before, over 10 kilometers of horizontal signs redone. The Municipality of San Severino Marche has completed an important project to make signs safe on the roads of the vast Settempedano territory, one of the largest in the entire Marche region with its almost 194 square kilometres, which also involved various hamlets including Serrone, Biagi, Sant’Elena , Serripola and Cesolo.
In addition to placing new horizontal signs in various arteries, in others the existing one was reviewed and restored and the signs in numerous locations were removed and replaced.
“We have almost entirely renovated the vertical signs, which in some sections are over twenty years old – explains LCouncilor for Signs and Traffic, Local Police and Security, Jacopo Orlandani, which underlines – For everyone’s safety we have added signs near various dangerous curves, the same goes for the new road signs that indicate the presence of bottlenecks or roadside plants. The substantial intervention, truly necessary and completed with great commitment by the Signage Service and the Local Police who I would like to thank, reflects the attention that the municipal administration tries to give to our entire territory even though it is truly very large” .
