Rocchi and Rossi, who pays for the damages? The grass cuttings commissioned by the Municipality in recent months could not be enough to bring the turf of the stadium in via della Palazzina back to a decent condition, which, according to experts, should be thrown away and remade from scratch. But this would also mean canceling the next sports season, because we wouldn’t be able to play. Therefore we must rely on shock therapy and capable hands to try to save what can be saved. However the negotiation goes with the Municipality for the assignment of the building to Favl, in fact, the necessary massive intervention on the Rocchi field will not make it available before October. Even the internal areas need to be rearranged – gym, offices, changing rooms, laundry – because nothing survived the tsunami that hit the building last summer.
HEAVY INVESTMENT
It will perhaps take a little less time to put the Pillar’s synthetic material back in place, but even there the scenario is post-atomic. In essence, to restart Rocchi and Rossi, a significant investment is needed, with many zeros. But how did we get to this point? “It’s the fault of whoever was there before”: thundered Piero Camilli last Thursday after the inspection at Rocchi and Rossi, evoking the specter of Marco Arturo Romano. Who, in the absence of an inventory of the goods supplied to the two plants in the municipal offices, took everything away. But the Municipality also has responsibilities. In fact, it remains to be clarified why in recent months the administration first released the guarantee of 30 thousand euros to the previous manager to guarantee possible damage to the two plantsand then from September to today has not carried out adequate maintenance, worsening the critical issues.
