The first retailer in Italy dedicated to the category opens in via Monzermone, right in the historic centre. The idea came from two boys from Reggio Emilia who were already marketing these objects online, which were particularly sought after by collectors from all over the world
REGGIO EMILIA – The first store in Italy dedicated to Sports Cards opened its doors in our city, in the historic center, in via Monzermone.
Little known in Italy, where from an early age we get used to playing with footballers’ stickers and collecting albums, overseas the cards of sports figures represent real cult objects; there are many collectors and some of these cards are so rare that they become a sort of Holy Grail and even reach five-figure prices.
A trend that has also taken root in Italy in recent years. The autographed card of Jannick Sinner, for example, sold out in just twenty seconds. The shop is only the physical point of reference for online sales throughout the world not only of cards, but also of sports memorabilia such as jerseys, accessories, helmets from the American football championship, all autographed or worn by famous athletes.
