The arrival of the police

More attacks in hospitals

As the news recalls, what happened in the emergency room in Trapani is certainly not an isolated case: attacks in hospitals, with victims involving both healthcare personnel and security personnel, are not a new occurrence.

An example is what happened to Fidenza in 2022, where a 50-year-old first attacked the pedestrian entrance of the hospital with a stone, then entered inside and attacked doctors and nurses, triggering panic. The man was transported to the barracks by the police but there too he showed an altered and violent state, even throwing a fit against the military.

For this reason the police took him back to the hospital for a while sedation. The 50-year-old was reported for damage and threats.
