Drought, Coldiretti Sicily: political delays add to the drama – the Nisseno Fact

Just in recent days, the third commission (Productive Activities) of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, which should follow up on what was established with the President of the Region Renato Schifani, is unable to have a quorum and therefore to define the path started for the voucher , so much so that the commission was postponed due to lack of quorum, to Tuesday 18 June. This is what Coldiretti Sicilia denounced in stigmatizing “absolutely unacceptable behavior on the part of politicians”. Meanwhile, in Sicily as well as in Sardinia, two regions gripped by drought, farmers are forced to resort to tankers to save what little is still left. In Sicily, wheat, cereals and fodder are registering a decline of up to 100%, but the lack of rain is also affecting fruit trees and threatening vineyards and olive groves. Coldiretti Sicily raises the alarm about the lack of fodder for animals.
