Yesterday, the Agents of the Merano Police Station took steps to execute the Order to execute the Coercive Cautionary Measure of the Prohibition of Approach and Contact issued against a 45-year-old Tunisian citizen resident in Merano, regularly present on the national territory.

Specifically, the precautionary measure issued by the GIP of the Court of Bolzano prohibited the suspect from approaching his ex-partner and the places frequented by her, with the requirement to maintain a distance of 500 meters, avoiding communicating with her in any way. and through any means.

The provision arose at the end of a detailed investigation by the investigators of the Merano police station coordinated by the Bolzano Public Prosecutor’s Office, following the complaint filed by the woman for persecutory acts and mistreatment, with the support of the Merano Anti-Violence Center , to whom the woman had turned and with whom this police station maintains constant and synergistic relations.

Specifically, the suspect was responsible for serious and persistent acts of persecution against the woman, with insults, threats, abusive attitudes and exasperated control over family life, including through episodes of psychological violence through insults, threats and intimidating behaviour. Furthermore, the facts as detailed in the complaint and confirmed by the investigations of the Judicial Police have revealed a situation of harassment towards the woman, who has seen her economic maintenance limited to the indispensable minimum, as well as the possibility of emancipating herself, not having been allowed to learn the Italian language, to work and to maintain telephone contact with her family of origin.

Taking into account what was reported in the complaint, subsequently confirmed by investigations by the Judicial Police, the Police Commissioner of the Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori ordered the start of the process for the revocation of the Residence Permit held by the 45-year-old Tunisian, in order to then to be able to proceed with his expulsion from the National Territory.
