The European Coast and Border Guard Agency Frontez is organizing a complex exercise for the days of 18 and 19 June, in the waters in front of the maritime compartment of Bari, as part of the “Themis” joint operation in which national air and naval assets will take part. and foreign.
Operation Themis is a European Union border security initiative led by Frontex, the European border surveillance agency. The initiative, which replaced Operation Triton in managing migrant flows, began on 1 February 2018. Frontex supports EU and Schengen countries in all aspects relating to border management, through field support and the fight against cross-border crime, aerial surveillance and information collection, assisting repatriation procedures, identifying new technologies and much more.
Gruppo Ideazione srl and Torre Quetta, this year, are partners of Frontex and the Port Authority in this important exercise, therefore we are looking for around 30 participants who will simulate, in the training scenario, a group of migrants disembarked from a ship in difficulty.
The participants will be embarked on the morning of 06.19.2024 on a Coast Guard vessel and then disembarked in the same port, according to the following general times:
Boarding in the port of Bari at 08:30;
Disembarkation in the port of Bari at 2.00 pm for health care;
End of exercise at 3.00 pm;
