Lots of news for the Rally Città di Torino scheduled for the last weekend of August

The Rally Città di Torino edition number 39 presents itself in a totally renewed guise. In fact, there are many new features that characterize the 2024 edition of the competition promoted by RT Motorevent. Starting from the location that will host departures, arrivals and the entire headquarters, which for the first time in its history will turn the spotlight on the majestic backdrop of the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale. The town a few kilometers from the center of Turin enthusiastically accepted the idea of hosting the motorsport event also in anticipation of 2025 where it will be the “European City of Sport”.

The logistical location and the race route also change in its appearance, which in this edition abandons the historic Col del Lys to return to experiencing the Italian atmosphere of the 90s when the Turin competition was an important crossroads in the 2 Liter championship and the challenge embraced the famous streets of the Canavese area.

The roar of engines will envelop the Turin hinterland from Friday 23 August, when sporting and technical checks are scheduled in Lanzo In Piazza Rolle, headquarters of the Assistance Park, and the shakedown in the afternoon.
In the evening from the heart of the historic center of Veneria Reale, a few steps from the famous Royal Palace, in a particularly evocative location which will certainly be the ideal postcard for the presentation of the crews to the public.

The race will start from Venaria Reale on Saturday morning, from here the competitors will reach Pessinetto for the first special test, the 14 kilometer long “Monastero” which compared to previous editions will be covered in the opposite direction, and then move to the Canavese area with two special tests .

The second partial, the “Pratiglione” of approximately 11 km, follows the route of the Ronde but which will however undergo some changes compared to that and will develop from the hamlet of Santi, Carella up to Canischio. The third partial also brings to mind the challenges of the past with the 7.00 km “Borgiallo” test which from Bivio Nava leads to Chiesanuova and ends near Colleretto Castelnuovo.
