Appeal rejected and precautionary custody in prison confirmed by the judges of the Court of Cassation for Juan Antonio Sorroche. The man, currently detained for having placed a bomb in front of the League headquarters in Treviso in 2018, would be also considered the perpetrator of the attack on the Polgai headquarters in Brescia in December 2015.
Further confirmation comes from the stoats they have the appeal presented by the 47-year-old was rejected, who through his lawyer had challenged the order of the Court of Brescia. Order which confirmed the precautionary measure in prison for the crime of terrorism against the citizen originally from Girona, who he allegedly placed a homemade device contained in a pressure cooker. The bomb exploded near the entrance to the Judicial Police School, an episode later claimed with a document signed by the «Acca Anarchist Cell» on 5 January 2016.
But the the appeal was deemed, overall, “unfounded” by the judges of the Supreme Court given that “there are serious indications of the suspect’s participation in the 2015 attack against the Brescia Police Academy”.
It is worth mentioning that the episode to be linked to anarchist circles dates back to 2015. On the night of December 18, a pressure cooker loaded with gunpowder exploded in front of the entrance to the judicial police school, thirteen minutes after it had been left in front of the door by a man filmed by security cameras. In January 2016 the Anarchist Cell ACCA (CAA) claimed responsibility for the act online.
In the In 2019, the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office reopened the investigation into the homemade bomb exploded in front of the police academy headquarters. Two anarchists had been investigated, among them Juan Antonio Sorroche, originally from Girona. Last summer Digos officers found pressure cookers and the investigations subsequently focused on the 47-year-old.
